Govt. Industrial Training Institute, Salem – 636 007 is located near the foothills of Yercaud.  The location of Industrial Training Institute is very pleasant and the environment also holds merits and excellence.  Once the Industrial Training Institute had spread over to an extend of 35.45 acres of land, out of which the following divisions were made.

1)   10 acres of land was handed over to Govt. Arts College for Women, Salem

2)   An extent of 3.22 acres had been given to Tamil Nadu Housing Board and

3)   An extent of 1.92 acres of land was conceded to Social Welfare Department.

The available total extent of net land area comes to 20.32 acres for this Govt. Industrial Training Institute which includes Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women to the extent of 6.5 acres of land.
